Tryouts and Full Season

We are excited to launch another great season of Dublin Jerome Celtic Hockey!

We will hold 4 mandatory Checking Clinics prior to tryouts, 2 tryouts, and then an important Parent & Player meeting to kick off the season.

• Mandatory Checking Clinics = 10/25, 10/28, 10/29, and 10/30
• Tryouts = 11/1 and 11/2
• Parent & Player meeting = 11/4 (evening)

Our full schedules will be loaded under each team page once the teams are formed after tryouts, but can also be found in PDF form below.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Our first games for both teams are November 9-10 in Bowling Green.
• Both teams will play in tournaments over Thanksgiving, Christmas, and MLK breaks.
• Our JV season usually runs through mid/late-February.
• Our Varsity season runs through early/mid-March.

These 5 forms are required prior to the first practice - 3 during online registration and 2 just after tryouts:

1. USA Hockey Participant Code of Conduct
2. USA Hockey Consent to Treat
3. Student Transportation by Private Vehicle
4. Responsibility Contract for Overnight Trips - MUST BE NOTARIZED - Please write "Jerome Hockey Events" in the blank near the top of the page (as the District-sponsored trip)
5. Overnight Trip Medical Authorization Form - MUST BE NOTARIZED - Section A does not apply because parents will be with players for our two overnight trips, not chaperones - no physician signature is required.

NEW THIS YEAR: The 3 non-notarized forms must be uploaded as part of the website registration process; please print them out now and have them ready to upload. The other 2 forms that must be notarized will be requested through the website after the second tryout, so please be sure to get them notarized prior to November 2nd.

Does Dublin Jerome cut players for their hockey teams?

To date, Jerome has not had to cut any player who wants to play hockey at the high school. We do have tryouts to determine which players will play at the Varsity level vs the JV level, but our philosophy has always been that if you want to play hockey for Jerome, we'll find a spot for you! If you have never played hockey before, we encourage you to set up a meeting with Coach Murphy (murphy_patrick@dublinschools.net) prior to registration.
